I am very late leaving a comment (almost 6 years) but I had a single AAA battery Fenix EO5 flashlight that was extremely difficult to rotate the head to turn it on. When I did get it to turn the battery was flat and initially i thought it was a result of corrosion but when I continued to unscrew the head of the flashlight to remove the battery there was a loud pop and the head of the flashlight shot out of my fingers. There was corrosion but not anywhere near the threads. The leaking battery had pressurised the flashlight to the extent that it was causing the tightness. Once the gas had escaped the head was easy to rotate.. I no longer open flashlights in front of my face. All the best.

I had quite a few Duracell batteries leaking and ruined a lot of my stuff. But this hissing and crackling leak is amazing. :) Not funny, I won't buy Duracell batteries again. Just sent a feedback to Costco to stop selling Duracell batteries.

I just had a 24 pack of the Duracell Duralock batteries ruin a handheld CB and two LED flashlights! I always spent the extra for Duracell I'm really shocked by this. My batts have an expiration of 2021 on them so this is a recurring thing.

I had those same style of Duracell blow up in my Wii mote

It seem like duracell do not pay enough effort to solve these problems. It 's acceptable if only a few lots have some problem but many years have past and you still have the same problem on your brand. So I think it is the time to warn people not to bring the toxic product to their home. I hope duracell can understand and pay more effort to keep poison away from people household. this no longer works on 50 and its simplified now go to the pc facebook load it up get the coins there (leave the coin window open just incase) now on your phone or tablet load the game get the coins hit the back button to the main screen and load it and just repeat this till you've had enough. if you get 4 coins on pc on the phone you will get 6. if your at 16coin bonus 45 mins should net you 10,000 coins PS. i only use the pc to start the glitch just using the phone doesnt always work but loading the pc first 100% of the time causes the glitch

I used Duracell Batteries for about 40 years without a problem. The last two years I have had the batteries leak and ruin flashlights, remote controls, and Battery operated flameless candles. I always bought them in bundles of 100 for both AA and AAA, and lesser amounts for C and D. Apparently changing the formula ingredients is the cause, may be the zinc. Other brands and House brands for CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aide, Fry's all leak to some extend. I have not have any problem using non Alkaline or all purpose batteries, I am stuck with about 500 Duracell Batteries. Even if I catch them before much damage is done the contacts have to be cleaned if I can reach them. While cleaning out a few drawers I found some Store brands like Drug Emporium which has been out of business for at least 30 years and they still had a 90% charge and worked until the charge was used up. Other store brands the same, my theory that it is the change in I believe is valid, Blame the US Government for this stupid change.

Discovered this by accident today (March 22, 2014) and it works on Android. Edit (Sept 29, 2016) - Of course it doesn't work anymore. I don't even play their greedy game anymore either. Had my attention drawn back to this video thanks to spamtards replying to my ancient comment.
